School Clubs

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club for children is open from 7.45am. There is a charge of £2.00 (£1.00 for each additional sibling) and this includes breakfast which consists of a bowl of cereal, toast and a drink. We stop serving food at 8.30. Key Stage 2 children are escorted to the playground after Breakfast Club and all other children are taken directly to their classrooms. For further information please speak to Mrs. Quirk.

Christmas Choir

Our school choir is formed annually in the run up to Christmas and our talented children perform festive songs in the local community to raise money for school and for charity. The choir have sung at locations such as Matalan, Tesco, Aldi, The Magical Christmas Fair at Manchester Central and at a local SureStart Centre.

Young Voices 2018

For a number of years we have formed  Young Voices choir. The children performed alongside over 7,000 other children at the Manchester Arena and also performed a selection of the songs for their families and friends.

After a successful 2017 season, Sandilands are hoping to take part in Young Voices 2018 and we are already very excited! If you are in the choir you can search on YouTube for videos of the dance moves!

For more information about our choirs please speak to Mr Bousfield or Miss Harris. You can also visit the Young Voices website.

 Year 6 Homework Club

Year 6 Homework Club runs on a Tuesday evening from 3.10 pm until 4.15 pm. Homework Club is a great way to complete homework in a quiet environment where there is support available.

For further information, please speak to Mrs Cousins or Ms Brannick.

Into Film Film Club

Film Club is an after-school club that invites members to watch movies, discuss them and write reviews that are published online at We have watched many films from many different genres, from modern classics such as 'Up', silent films such as 'Lost and Found' and the first ever horror film that featured a twist, 1920's 'The Cabinet of Dr Caligari'.

Please see Mr Bousfield or Miss Harris for more information.

School Productions

Our children are very talented and they have the opportunity to perform in a range of productions during their Sandilands career.

In Key Stage 1 a fabulous Nativity is presented every Christmas which involves the entire Key Stage!

In Key Stage 2, our Christmas shows are open to all children in the Juniors and our summer show is performed by Year 6.

For more information please speak to Mr Bousfield or Miss Harris.

Sports Clubs

We love sports at Sandilands and have lots of different activities going on all the time, both in school and outside of school time including working closely with organisations such as the Manchester United Foundation.

Current clubs include Boys and Girls Football after school on different days.

Please speak to Miss Wilton to find out more.

Every term, a number of children are selected to become members of our STAR Club. They have the opportunity to plan and participate in visits outside of school hours whilst keeping to a budget. The children choose what they want to do. Previous activities have included swimming, soft play areas, ice skating, Legoland Discovery Centre, B&Q DIY Projects and many more.
