The Government has provided the Local Authority funding for a Winter Household Support Fund. As well as assigning some of the funds to support Free School Meals (FSM) during the holidays, Manchester Council are also using it to give a one off grant payment to families who are in receipt of Council Tax Support.

• Those who are eligible for the grant payment, will receive a cheque in the post by 17 December.
• Families do not need to make a claim.
• Not all families who are entitled to FSM will receive this one off grant payment, as the criteria for Council Tax Support is different.
