For Parents - Device Rules and Boundaries

It can be really helpful to sit down with children and agree on rules and boundaries in relation to new or current devices, set expectations of behaviour and much more. To help with this FOSI (The Family Online Safety Institute) have put together some really simple but wonderful agreement sheets for parents which you can download for free here.

TikTok and Other Social Media Guides

If your child is using social networking sites to chat to friends and family or share their latest selfie, take a look at this list of social media guides to get you up to speed on the most popular platforms and help them set the right privacy settings.

Internet Matters have a good range of guides that help parents with family pairing (where available), privacy settings, reporting and much more. This is a really helpful resource for parents and you can find all the guides here.

Digiduck Stories (Childnet)

The five stories in the Digiduck series were created to help parents and teachers educate children aged 3–7 about online safety. The collection includes ebooks, PDFs, a poster and an interactive app. As well as the books, there is a Digiduck Activity Menu for educators, that can be found here

Primary - Cyber Sprinters

Cyber Sprinters is a set of activities and puzzles from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) for primary aged (KS2) children. These are all aimed at parents to use with their children at home. There are lots of really useful activities such as learning about passwords, keeping personal information safe, suspicious messages and much more. To see all the resources click here
